• VTVcab, SmarDTV, Samsung deploy CI Plus Instant Access CAM

    Vietnamese cable operator VTVCab, in partnership with Kudelski Group’s unit SmarDTV, and Samsung Electronics, will deploy a Conax-certified CI Plus Instant Access conditional access module service o the local market.

     

     

    Vietnamese cable operator VTVcab, in partnership with Kudelski Group’s unit SmarDTV, and Samsung Electronics, will deploy a Conax-certified CI Plus Instant Access conditional access module service o the local market. VTVcab subscribers will have access to content directly on their new Samsung Cable TV model without using a STB, by inserting the newly developed CI Plus Instant Access conditional access module (CAM) from VTVcab.

    The integrated digital TV and CAM combination enables VTVcab to promote its content in HD and future 4K compression. Customers buying a Samsung DVB-C iDTV Model J5520 will receive a voucher which will entitle them to obtain a CAM from VTVcab containing a smartcard and a free 6-month subscription of HD package which provides them with instant access to the VTVcab services when installed in the TV.
